"We derive joy in seeing our clients thrive in their various industries."

INSOLVENCY/DEBT RECOVERY AND RESTRUCTURING

We have tremendous track record of success in debt recovery on behalf of our clients (especially financial institutions) including petitioning appropriate governmental agencies for redress in the event of embezzlement and illegal diversion of funds.

“The confidence we have in our expertise of handling Receivership exercise is impeccable and have through this means, recovered Billions of Naira for several financial institutions expeditiously”

Of note is how we have on several occasions – successfully handled Receivership exercises involving consortium of Banks to recover Billions of Naira, and in most cases, our nomination and appointment are usually by unanimous decision of the consortium of lenders.

We have also been highly involved in restructuring of facilities granted to customers especially in situations where bank customers have failed to meet up with matured obligations, but, based on business intelligence, it is cognizable that the customer has good potential to perform.

We have been able to recover funds from debtors who are oil marketers by obtaining effective court orders to attach their funds that were found in custody of the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) and Debt Management Office (DMO) to satisfy judgments in favour of our clients. The first one we did with a 100% result was also the first in the experience of these agencies, particularly the DMO.

In handling debt recovery cases, just like any other area of our legal practice, open and honest representation is a priority in our partnership with clients. Our sworn duty is to act in their best interests within the bounds of the law. This may come in the form of guidance, consultation, representation in the courtroom and education. Therefore, we are capable of offering effective solutions which are always based on the facts and circumstances of each case.

We have recorded high success rate in obtaining effective court orders even before the debtor is served with the court processes to avoid dissipation of assets or to secure the fruits of anticipated judgment of court. This is one of the reasons a number of Nigerian Financial Institutions enjoy engaging our services in order to firmly protect their rights.
